Win 32 EXEs problem

Hi,
I just downloaded the two EXEs, Milestone 3 and
Milestone 2.2 and tried to execute them thinking
that they are self extracting archives and they
just sat there doing nothing. I executed them in
a DOS box under Windows NT 4.0 and XP home.
Also, why are they labelled "VS6" on the web page?
